I hadn't got round to posting in the past few days so here's what happened.
Me and Maddy had drama rehearsal on Wednesday which was good, and on Wednesday evening Jessica my sister came home from Japan.
On Thursday my mum and dad and i went out to Lincoln for the day and we walked up "Steep Hill" which had lots of nice shops on it, then we went and picked up Gillian from her PGL place which is actually quite posh and theres a guy a the place with an afro but she hasn't taught him though.
On Friday me and Maddy had another drama rehearsal but this time it was a half hour one on one session to practice our monologues for our Lamda exam in July(i think), then later my family went out for lunch and we were gonna go some where but we ended up just going shopping - me my mum and gill - cos gill doesnt have a h&m and other shops near her. I bought a present and card for my dads birthday on th 1st june.
Today i just sat out in the garden most of the day revising and reading and i also made some nice bread with Jess.
These are my two Lamda monologues:
CATCHING FLIES
by Penny Phillips
Sarah is very small and serious and very nice – most of the time.
She is staring intently at a fly that is flying in front of her and
settles on the windowpane – the audiences are the
window. Sarah speaks with a bunged-up nose as if she has a
cold. She creeps up to the fly. Just as she is about to grab it she
gives an enormous sniff.
SARAH: Missed it!
Katie Saunders can catch flies as easy as anything.
She watches carefully, slowly creeps closer – then sniffs and
grabs.
Darn it! I need a really slow one. (Sniff.) Oh, I'm fed
up. (Sniff.) I'm fed up with everyone copying me...
(Sniff.) I can't help sounding bunged up, it's my
adenoids.
She freezes as she sees a fly, watches, sniffs, grabs.
And I'm fed up with Miss Roberts saying (Imitating
her.) 'Do shut your mouth, Sarah. Are you catching
flies? Ha ha ha.' She says it every day and laughs that
funny horsey laugh. I don't say to her, 'What a funny
laugh, Miss Roberts. Have you swallowed a horse?'
(Seeing a fly.) There's a big fat slow one. I'll hold
my breath...
She takes a deep breath, creeps, concentrates and catches it.
Got it! I've caught one! I've really caught one!
Just wait till tomorrow! When she says, 'Sarah,
are you catching flies?' I'll open my hand right
under her nose and let this out and say, 'Yes,
Miss Roberts. Look!'
She opens her hand wide, to demonstrate. The fly flies
away.
Oh, I give up!

THE SECRET GARDEN
by Frances Hodgson Burnett
MARY LENNOX, brought up in India, travels to England
on the death of her parents. She conies to live in her uncle ‘s
house, Misslethwaite Manor, on the edge of the Yorkshire
moors. Here she meets her cousin, Colin, who is an invalid
and has become rather spoiled and demanding in his
manner. In this scene MARY is talking to Colin about
Dickon, brother to Martha the maid.
MARY: I’m thinking about the way you spoke to Martha, Colin.
Once in India I saw a boy who was a rajah. He had rubies
and emeralds and diamonds stuck all over him. Everybody
had to do everything he told them — in a minute. I think they’d
have been killed if they didn’t. You spoke to Martha just like
that. It made me think. . .how different you are to Dickon.
[COLIN: Who’s Dickon? What a funny name.]
He’s Martha’s brother. He’s twelve, and he is not like anyone else in the world. He can charm foxes and squirrels and rabbits just as the natives in India charm snakes. He plays a very soft tune on a pipe and they just come and listen. He played on his pipe and they listened. But he didn’t call it magic. He says it’s because he lives on the moor so much and knows their ways. He says he feels sometimes as if he was a bird or a rabbit himself, he likes them so. I think he asked the robin questions. It seemed as if they talked to each other in soft chirps. He knows about everything that grows or lives on the moor.
[COLIN: What’s the moor like?]
The moor is the most beautiful place. Thousands of lovely things grow on it and there are thousands of little creatures all busy building nests and making holes and burrows and chippering or singing or squeaking to each other. They are so busy and having such fun under the earth or in the trees or heather. It’s their world. Actually, I’ve never been there.
Not really. I only drove over it in the dark when I came to this house.
Colin, I was thinking — you and I might go on the moor —some time.

Today I went to Goathlan (heartbeat country) with beth and maddy. we saw a waterfall and this cute tree and bought these really cool sand things. Then we got the steam train to pickering which was cool and there were cowboys on the train- how awesome. Also beth had set her ringtone to auld lang syne and it went off on the train it was soooooooo funny.
In Pickering we got some chips then went to the castle except we weren't allowed in cos children had to be accompanied by an adult so we went for a walk round the castle instead. Me and Beth climbed up this hill thing and were walking along by the fence around the outside of the castle, then we had to get down and it was so steep we ended up sliding down on our bums-it was soooo fun.
Later we were just sitting outside the castle being bored and then decided to go get some sweets from the gift shop. When we were buying the lollies beth pleaded the guy to let us in again and he did. YEY!

Last day
Last day of school today which rocks! But more interestingly a fight broke out between the moshers and the chavs today and we saw all of it! It's like the first fight at school that ive actually got to see, not that much happened but still, and what makes it even better is that if i had decided to go to orchestra i would have missed it all. Mr taylor asked me about orchestra at the end of school which was quite annoying-i think im gonna quit cos im always skiving anyway.
Also i forgot to buy the maths cd today which sucks - beth was supposed to remind me.

Afro
I have found my new future husband - afro dude in year 8. Me and maddy think he looks like hes from the 1970s or something its amazing, oh and he has glasses. It has been afro dude in year 11, sixth form and according to maddy year 7 but i dont remember that. I have a bit of a thing for afros. Oh and this doesn't mean that I fancy these guys if i say im gonna marry them its just cos i think it would be funny. I say it about zillions of people especially for my sisters they have tons of future husbands including: Len Goodmans son-because i just love len, Goks nonexisent straight brother- cos i love gok, John Barrowman nonexisent straight brother- cos i love him, crazy Marco off neighbours guy- he actually looks like a mad version of marco,
um random tree guy, the list goes on... So just to clear things up i by no means fancy afro dude in year8

Bombs and bananas
At lunch time these annoying boys in my year were making deodorant bombs and throwing them at people and one came near us ( me, beth, beckie, amy, ellie, maddy and abi) so we decided to seek our revenge...abi beth and beckie got this banana and when they weren't there they smushed it on there bags! They smushed loads on this one boys bag and on his zip. So we thought that when they found it they might throw the banana at us and i for one certainly didn't want banana on me so we 'went for a walk'. later we came back and they still hadnt noticed so maddy abi and beckie went to have a look which probably look very suspicious then that boy came back and found it so we decided to go to lessons.
Also at break time these year 10 chavs were just going up to random boys and piling on them it was so tight. One boy got proper hurt and was crying (bless) so Peter-beckies brother went and told like the good boy he is.

Bow down to the creator
Wow I've finally created my blog. Aren't you pleased... You should be cos it took my forever to type the word verification thing right, even the disabled one i couldn't understand.
ummmmmm
oh yeah we went to the Leeds book awards thing today and Maddy totally embarrassed herself in front of a famous writer! You'll have to see her blog to find out the story cos she might be annoyed with me if i tell it but basically it involves her misspelling jasmine.
